Ms. Bai has a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Tsinghua University, a J.D. and a master’s degreein law from the U.S., and her extensive practicing experience in the U.S. and China ensured the integration of her legal knowledge of civil law and common law systems in her current legal practice.
[Dispute Resolution] Ms. Bai is not only proficient in litigation and arbitration, but also specializes in seeking the best interests of clients through mediation and negotiation. Ms. Bai has represented many large foreign trade enterprises in resolving their foreign trade disputes, including arbitration before the Beijing Arbitration Commission, the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre, the Singapore International Arbitration Centre and in the US, and has promoted the recognition and enforcement of foreign arbitral awards in China.
[Corporate and Commercial] Ms. Bai has long focused on cross-border business solutions and has acted as perennial legal counsel for a number of large foreign trade enterprises, providing comprehensive legal support to many foreign clients coming in and domestic clients going out, including: designing corporate structures; identifying business partners; conducting due diligence on international trade and cross-border investments; drafting and reviewing contracts, etc..
[Legal Compliance] Legal compliance has become a crucial project for entities from all industries both in China and abroad. Ms. Bai has assisted both Chinese companies and foreign companies in developing full compliance policies such as AML and Cyber Security policies as well as their executions (subject to HK, SG, US, UK and PRC laws).
[Intellectual Property] Ms. Bai also focuses on enhancing clients’ soft power and competitiveness, creating systematic IPR services, including: assisting clients in formulating IPR development strategies and establishing a sound trade secret protection system; advising clients on the best IPR protection and value-added solutions, and representing or assisting clients in patent applications, trademark registration and copyright registration; drafting various IPR assignment and licensing agreements, etc. Ms. Bai has also acted for a number of multinational companies in resolving their IPR
disputes in China.
Prior to joining Zhong Wen Law Firm, Ms. Bai was a lawyer of Barnes & Thornburg LLP in Chicago,USA. She worked in the IP department and handled a lot of related businesses such as confirmation, maintenance, licensing and transfer of IPR.
